Studio 3 is a RAAD Studio (Research, Art, Architecture & Design) based out of Miami Beach.
The Studio operates across many disciplines: buildings, drawings, music, writing, research, and design. Licensed in four states with over a decade of experience spanning public and private sector projects. Every project starts from the same framework: Past + Future = Meaningful Present. Learn from what came before. Understand where things are heading. Make the most meaningful decision for each project, right now.
Producer Architect
Think of an orchestra conductor. Not the first violin, not the percussionist, not the composer. The person who brings everyone together to create harmony. The conductor has to know a little about every instrument. Might not be the expert at any single one. Knows enough to bring everyone together and make the most meaningful decision at that moment in time.
That's what a Producer Architect does. Sometimes we're the Project Architect. Sometimes a consultant. Sometimes we're just doing analysis or research. That flexibility is the point. We look at the big picture. The history that came before. What led up to this moment. Where it's going. Then we try to utilize all tools available to us to get the project where it needs to be.
We have encountered many scenarios across our project experience: historic preservation, flood compliance, hurricane resilience, mixed use, zoning analysis, urban planning, master planning, sea-level adaptation, and more. If a project isn't the right fit for the Studio, we'll help guide you on next steps.
There are things we don't know, and that's an answer we're OK with. We try to continually expand our education as broadly as possible, to learn when to ask a better question, filter the noise, and strive to stay pointed true north.
The work
Jamie Moshe Straz is a multi-disciplined artist working across painting, drawing, layered acrylic portraiture, and visual media. His Jewban (Jewish/Cuban) heritage has a big influence on the work. Art has been exhibited during Miami Art Week with JADA Art Fair (2019–2022, 2025), during Paris Art Week with JADA Art Fair (2020), and in galleries across South Florida. Jamie serves on the JADA Art board of advisors. Music lives on Spotify under JSArchitect.
Research projects have always been part of the Architecture practice and the art. Now the Studio is expanding to put those ideas to paper. The vast experience we've gathered and shared, published as articles open to everyone. Architecture, urbanism, basketball history, family genealogical research, Jewish sports history. No paywalls. Built to be discovered.
Instead of being spread out over many different platforms, everything lives here now.
Like the good old days, when we all had a LiveJournal.
